Love this Fabric

When I started working on my bedroom a couple of years ago, I fell in love with this fabric. When I saw the price, I quickly thought of what I could sell on ebay to get it. Without selling my house, there was no such luck...However, I was able to create a bedroom with super yummy fabrics for a fraction of the cost and still love it. I also created a necklace with similar colors. This fabric has brought so much inspiration!

Almost Finished!

Akk! I am almost finished painting the house. It rained this morning and I was glad because that meant I didn't have to paint today. Yippee! But only a little bit more.

She's Here!

The Governor's Daughter has a new baby! With joyful hearts, we are introducing the longer, leaner necklace. She comes in at 18" and is lighter in weight than the originals. She has a sweet disposition and is super fun to wear. She makes friends everywhere and is sure to draw attention. We are still deciding on her name so as soon as we name her, we will pass it along. Laundry Room

                                                                    
Currently, my laundry room is outside in the garage. yuck! We have come up with brillant plans to enclose part of our dining room and create a powder room and laundry/craft room. I can't wait! I am trying to come up with all sorts of exciting ideas. I am still proud of my master bath shower. Yes!

We're Doing This

Yes, I am painting my house myself. The color is called Warm Stone and I am near the end of the priming and first coat. Then it will be on to the 3rd and final coat. Yay! She looks so pretty and I have had a nice time doing it. And I have lost a few pounds in the August heat doing it. I am into easy workouts.

Happy Room

So, I am pseudo new at the blog thing. Not new at looking at pictures and talking about pretty things, but new to actually typing it out. But I will look at pretty pictures on the internet and tell the internet world all about it( or just my husband and the 2 other people I will forward this to!) This room is super happy. I like him. I have the itch to redecorate something at my house, but that will have to wait because I am currently painting the outside of my house. Almost finished!

Patio for me!

Isn't this patio fabulous? I am working on ours. I just finished staining the floor. I am going to put in some potted plants but I am not sure about furniture yet. I don't have any kind of roof over mine but maybe a pergola one day?

Up and Coming Yard

Here is the path we worked on last week and over the weekend. Our yard is slowly coming around. I am so proud of our work! If we take little chunks off at a time, our yard will be done in 2012! Yikes. I hope it is finished by then but I suppose its more about the journey than the destination. I have been hooked on HGTV for ideas! And even though the picture isn't great, you get what I am going for here.

Vintage: New Line of Necklaces

The Governor's Daughter is rolling out a new line of necklaces. I am very excited to present the Vintage line to the world! Each necklace contains a vintage brooch and can be dressed up or down. I am super excited about this line. It mixes the freshness and newness of the beads with vintage brooches. Before I made necklaces, I collected brooches. Well, I still collect them but I it was "my thing" 4 or 5 years ago. I love when God weaves things in my life together. A beautiful marriage between bead and brooch.
